Jerry's Surgery Update

As most now know, I am facing open heart surgery on August 6th to replace my aortic valve. Although I have known for 4 years that this day would eventually come, the day seems to be approaching at a rapid pace. To support the inquiries of so many great friends and family members I have created this blog with the purpose of providing an update on my surgery and recovery. Comments are encouraged! Pre-op Appointment

Good morning everyone...We are at the Heart Institute this morning for Jerry's pre-op visit. Today we will be getting some final blood work, tests and meet the anesthesiologist...plus sign the forms. We are one week away from the big day, which is making everyone a little anxious but we trust that God will be with Jerry and our family. Barbara
